Centralized Ports & Services Audit (CPSA)

CPSA, or Centralized Ports and Services Audit, provides regular monitoring of ports and services as well as local audit and security policies and is essential to maintain proper security on a controller network.  FoxGuard works with customers to develop a “Gold Standard” that meets its security goals concerning ports, services, and policies.  An audit file is created against this standard and then used as the basis of comparison for all other systems on the network.  Implementing CPSA on the DisPatch Server enables administrators to automate thorough scans and manage them centrally.

A Gold Standard defines the acceptable settings and policies for ports and services. It serves as the basis of comparison for scans and audits.

Scans include:

Reporting
As a scan detects variations from the Gold Standard, a report is created detailing these discrepancies.  Scans and reports can be scheduled and automated.  Email alerts are available to notify administrators of scan completion, while centralized logging of reports provides an audit trail of changes to system ports and services over time.

Annual Vulnerability Scan
By configuring a separate audit file, CPSA can be used for annual vulnerability scanning.  Onsite assistance is available as an added service.
