Acceptance Testing
FoxGuard supports customer requirements for factory acceptance tests (FATs) and site acceptance tests (SATs) of its solutions. FATs are typically hosted by the control system vendor using simulators, while SATs are performed on-site on a production system that has been taken offline. These tests are often the final checkpoint before deployment.
Integrated Factory Acceptance Tests (IFATs)
For large scale roll outs or changes, FoxGuard can host an integrated factory acceptance test (IFAT) to assist an end user with the proper testing of the integration of their security solutions with either a single vendor or multiple vendors. Held in the secure FoxGuard testing lab, the IFAT is used to validate the security configuration, security communications, firewall settings, and basic security feature usage in a non-production environment.
An IFAT may include:

Validation of security solution configuration
-
Validation of multi-vendor security communication
-
Validation of security settings and implementation of approved system hardening
-
Creation of and execution of a detailed test plan to verify all security related solutions are working as designed
-
Validation of firewall settings between vendor controls network and corporate network
-
Validation of security settings and security related communications with centralized SIEM device
-
Return shipment of customer equipment via secured FoxGuard delivery truck
Prerequisites:

-
All test plans must be approved by all parties involved at least four weeks prior to IFAT
-
All firewall settings must be defined and configured prior to IFAT
-
All secondary security functions that are to be tested must be configured and shipped to FoxGuard four weeks prior to IFAT – this includes software to allow for remote access, email servers, printers, and SIEM devices
